Always a top attraction at the show (and defining the term "a hoot") come on out and MEET THE MERMAIDS on Saturday, November 5th!
Author Lu Vickers will discuss her book "Weeki Wachee; City of Mermaids, A History of One of Florida's Oldest Roadside Attractions" and offer a behind-the-scenes history of Weeki Wachee, including a film and slide presentation. This is a great chance to meet a few of the former mermaids, share your own memories,
get some autographs and maybe dig up some old Weeki Wachee postcards from the Exhibitors!
Lu will also give a presentation on her most recent non-fiction book "Cypress Gardens: America's Tropical Wonderland."
Lu has also authored "Breathing Underwater," a novel, and is the recipient three times of an Artist's Fellowship from the state of Florida.
