Collecting antique and vintage toys for fun and profit has been popular for decades. Many collections that were begun as lifelong hobbies have turned into multi-million dollar endeavors. Tin mechanical toys have been one of the more sought after categories for decades. It includes both friction and wind-up toys made in Germany from companies such as Lehmann, Bing, Planck and Marklin before and after World War I.
Also included are Japanese battery-operated, and wind-up space and robot toys made by Marusan, Cragstan and Linemar after WWII. A wide variety of toys from Germany, Japan and American spanning the period 1900 to 1960 will be discussed and displayed by Dr. Gary Moss, who has been collecting toys since the early 1970s.
